From our little shop at 80 Portobello Road we went on regular buying treks: to Venice, collecting antique glass; to Mexico, for authentic vintage silver jewellery and along the Trans -Saharan routes in Africa, purchasing large quantities of ‘Trade Beads’.

The journey began in 1971 in the famous Antique Market, Portobello Road, London.
