San Francisco, 1968 – Susie and Doug Tompkins founded their own fashion label at this special time and place. This was the birth of Esprit and the start of a unique success story.

Today we are present in more than 40 countries. Esprit collections are found in almost 900 of our own retail stores as well as 7,800 wholesale locations, including franchise shops and department stores.

Esprit has been listed on the Hong Kong stock exchange since 1993 and maintains headquarters in both Düsseldorf and Hong Kong. Esprit is a member of the Business Social Compliance Initiative (BSCI), which works against child labour, and a founding member of the Sustainable Apparel Coalition (SAC).
