Gro Company

The Gro Company is the result of two parents battle to get their baby to sleep at night. Practically unheard of in the UK, an Austrian sister-in-law introduced them to baby sleep bags, and after amazing 12- hour slumber, the Grobag was born. We carried out extensive research for 6 months before selling our first Grobag. This included a steep learning curve in relation to safety standards, overseas manufacturing, import and export, mail-order catalogue production, logistics, manufacturing and product design.Wanting to spread the word to other sleep deprived parents, our founders gave themselves a target of 10 years to get the UK from 0% to 80% baby sleeping bag usage, but managed it in a mere 5.

Our research brought us into contact with The Lullaby Trust (formally FSID), the UK’s leading SIDs research charity. We have worked with closely with The Lullaby Trust since 2000 and donated almost 1 million pounds towards safer sleep research.
