DKNY JEANS

DKNY JEANS will be opening the doors of their first Australian store in Westfield Sydney in late October 2010.

Opening with the latest Spring Summer 2010 collection, the new DKNY JEANS store will carry men’s and women’s apparel, including casual wear and premium denim and accessories.

The collection draws on the soul of the DKNY Jeans brand: a New York denim lifestyle that’s built around independence, grit, ambition and a shot of defiance. It’s spirited and expressive, and is driven by the confidence that only someone with a New York state of mind could exude. Our designs make bold statements about attitude and youth.

DKNY JEANS blend vintage and modern, masculine and feminine, and take the concept of making things happen to a whole new level.

The new DKNY JEANS store will be located in the Westfield Sydney Shopping Center on Level 1.

CUE

Cue – Westfield Sydney

When the first Cue store opened, it brought fast, reactive fashion to Australia – and became an Australian fashion pioneer. Over 40 years later, Cue continues to influence. In our quest for great fashion – exclusive new designs arrive in store every week. In the beginning, Cue concentrated on the latest looks from London with exclusive prints that kept the fashion-hungry hordes coming back for more.

That insatiable appetite for up-to-the-second style has been a formula for success, and we now have stores in all major cities throughout Australia and New Zealand.

Cue is still a family-owned company – by the same family that started it all back in 1968 – and is 100% Australian owned. We are proud of our heritage but always have a focus on the future – and on creativity. All designs originate in our head office in Sydney, and almost everything is made in Australia.

Staying local has meant that we can respond immediately to current trends and customer needs – and we also keep jobs in Australia. We also work with the most prestigious fabric mills in Europe to develop fabrics to our own specifications and with our own print designs, meaning that you won’t see those prints and fabrics anywhere else.

Westfield Sydney sees Cue return to the Pitt Street Mall with our new flagship store. Designed by award winning architects Lippmann Partnership – our new home of Cue is all you need to make a fashion statement this season.

Fashion Giant H&M Coming to the Pitt Street Mall

0

Flying high as the second-largest fashion brand in the world, H&M is making a landing at the Pitt Street Mall in Sydney. The grand opening of its flagship Sydney CBD store is slated for late next year. H&M will be located in the Glasshouse shopping centre, taking the site that currently houses the Uniqlo pop up store. Uniqlo will move to 420 George Street.

Glasshouse co-owners Stockland and Investa Commercial Property Fund (ICPF) are welcoming retail giant H&M with a $30 million redevelopment plan that was part of the deal. The building that will house H&M will retain its historic façade as the H&M shopfront, but the bulk of the interior will undergo a major renovation to transform the existing L-shaped pedestrian mall between Pitt and King streets.

H&M will be in solid company as the Pitt Street Mall reshuffles existing shops to make room for a new round of international brands. The world’s largest fashion brand of Zara is in the mix, as is Polo Ralph Lauren and cosmetic leader Sephora. Forever 21 remains in the mall, moving to the former Adidas location at 400 George Street.

Pitt Street Mall already holds the cards as the sixth most expensive street in the world based on rent per capita. H&M’s leasing of up to 5000 metres in the mall further fortifies its reputation as the “fast fashion” strip in the state.

“We have big plans for Glasshouse and Stockland Piccadilly,” said Stockland group executive John Shroder, “and it’s a major retail coup for us to attract and sign one of the world’s most iconic brands.”

The group’s goals include creating clearly unique retail centres in city and suburban areas while establishing strong shopping centres in regional locations. The Glasshouse retail complex and its office tower at 135 King Street have enjoyed an increase in leasing activity and decrease in vacancies since the ICPF acquisition in January.

Despite the high rents, Pitt Street Mall has been a lucrative target for many international retailers that are eyeing Australia, according to Savills researcher Simon Hemphill. And there are many. Sydney in particular is an alluring location, with brands from across the world aiming to establish a presence. These include Britain’s River Island, Hamleys and Marks & Spencer; Japan’s Sony; and the US brand of Microsoft.

The H&M shop opening at the Pitt Street Mall will be the second in Sydney for the fashion brand. The first H&M store is scheduled to launch this month at North Ryde’s AMP Shopping Centre’s Macquarie Centre.

Zara coming to Westfield Sydney Pitt Street Mall

Zara styles Australian shores at Westfield Sydney

Fashionistas all over the country have been perched on the edges of their killer heels waiting for the much-anticipated announcement of the first Australian location of Spanish retail giant, ZARA. The global fashion powerhouse has now confirmed it will open a three-level, 1830m² concept store in the $1.2M world-class retail precinct, Westfield Sydney, in 2011.

Anchoring this exciting new development on Pitt Street in Sydney’s CBD, the Westfield Sydney Zara store will offer a full range of women’s, men’s and children’s wear. The women’s wear showcase will include three lines: Zara Woman, Zara Basic and the youth concept TRF, featuring the latest world fashion trends.

Zara prides itself on its fast-fashion empire and has cut an international swathe through the fashion design and manufacturing industries with its on-trend styles, two-week ‘runway to rack’ approach and its supreme international reach. Part of the retail group Inditex, Zara houses a dedicated team of no less than 200 designers and its own factories and distribution facilities in Europe. So when a trend hits the runways of the world’s most fashionable cities, Zara is poised to get these looks on its shelves within two weeks, anywhere in the world.

With stores already flourishing in the Southern hemisphere, the seasonal differences between Australia and Zara’s Spanish headquarters are not expected to impact the ranges offered Down Under. A quick response to market demands appears to be one of the main goals of the Zara business model, and Australian shoppers will apparently be spoilt with new stock planned to arrive in-store twice-weekly.

Westfield Group Managing Director Australia & NZ Robert Jordan said “We’re excited to welcome Zara to Westfield Sydney, and delighted to be home to their first store in Australia. We have worked with Zara at Westfield centres in the US and the UK and we look forward to extending that relationship to Australia.”

Westfield Sydney will set a new benchmark for premium retail in Australia and Mr Jordan says that Zara’s presence is further evidence of this.

Zara at Westfield Sydney will open in the project’s second stage; in the second quarter of 2011. The centre’s first stage of opening is due in late October 2010, when more than 100 stores are expected to commence trade

Converting Online Visits to Offline Sales

0

Online advertising, also called online marketing or Internet advertising, is a form of marketing and advertising which uses the Internet to deliver promotional marketing messages to consumers. It includes email marketing, search engine marketing (SEM), social media marketing, many types of display advertising (including web banner advertising), and mobile advertising. Like other advertising media, online advertising frequently involves both a publisher, who integrates advertisements into its online content, and an advertiser, who provides the advertisements to be displayed on the publisher’s content. Other potential participants include advertising agencies who help generate and place the ad copy, an ad server who technologically delivers the ad and tracks statistics, and advertising affiliates who do independent promotional work for the advertiser.

Online advertising is a large business and is growing rapidly.

In 2011, Internet advertising revenues in the United States surpassed those of cable television and nearly exceeded those of broadcast television.:19 In 2012, Internet advertising revenues in the United States totaled $36.57 billion, a 15.2% increase over the $31.74 billion in revenues in 2011. U.S. internet ad revenue hit a historic high of $20.1 billion for the first half of 2013, up 18% over the same period in 2012. Online advertising is widely used across virtually all industry sectors.

Many common online advertising practices are controversial and increasingly subject to regulation. Online ad revenues may not adequately replace other publishers’ revenue streams. Declining ad revenue has led some publishers to hide their content behind paywalls.

Increasing Daily Foot Traffic

A Business directory or business directory is a website or printed listing of information which lists all businesses within some category. Businesses can be categorized by business, location, activity, or size. Business may be compiled either manually or through an automated online search software. Online yellow pages are a type of business directory, as is the traditional phone book.

The details provided in a business directory varies from business to business. They may include the business name, addresses, telephone numbers, location, type of service or products the business provides, number of employees, the service region and any professional associations. Some directories include a section for user reviews, comments, and feedback. Business directories in the past would take a printed format but have recently been upgraded to websites due to the advent of the internet.

Arts

The arts are a vast subdivision of culture, composed of many creative endeavors and disciplines. It is a broader term than “art”, which as a description of a field usually means only the visual arts. The arts encompass the visual arts, the literary arts and the performing arts – music, theatre, dance and film, among others. This list is by no means comprehensive, but only meant to introduce the concept of the arts. For all intents and purposes, the history of the arts begins with the history of art. The arts might have origins in early human evolutionary prehistory. According to a recent suggestion, several forms of audio and visual arts (rhythmic singing and drumming on external objects, dancing, body and face painting) were developed very early in hominid evolution by the forces of natural selection in order to reach an altered state of consciousness.
